Fourth Quarter: 1. P6 Project Pairings Due April 12 by 10 p.m.

You’ve picked your final project on The Giver (or other novel you read). You know you’ll be required to present your project. Share ideas (in at least three sentences) on how these presentations should be completed. Questions for consideration (but add your own input as well): Should we have a certain number a day? Should all the same type of project presentations be held on the same day? What else?

I think that we should have half the class present on Thursday and the other half present on Friday because that way there can be the same amount of people going that day. I also think that we should mix up all the different kind of projects, so we don't have to see the same project over and over again. Lastly, people should be able to volunteer to go first and if nobody volunteers, the teacher can randomly pick someone to go next.

The projects should based on wants to go first. Then we should do it by group so we can have a little more organization. The groups that do not go will go the next day and depending on how fast each group goes, we should finish by Monday.

I think the presentations should be ordered on whoever wants to go at a specific time, or we could go by table group, picking out individuals. I don't think volunteering will work judging by my past experiences with that system. I also think that we should try to squeeze as many possible presentations per day.

First we should try to fit as many presentations in a class as we can. Second we should mix it up so that we don't have to hear similar things all class. Finally, I think a video should be the first and last thing because they are usually very funny and will make a great intro and outro to the beginning of spring break.

I believe that the project order should be based on who would like to present first. If we do it this way everyone would be mentally prepared to go when they present and all of the same projects won't be presented at once. I think that we should present as many as we can on Thursday so that way Friday would be less stressful and people wouldn't have to worry about presenting after spring break.

I feel that all of the projects should be mixed up as to keep interest. The class could get tired of all of the presentations done all at one time, so it would be better to maximize interest.

I think that the presentations should not be with people who chose the same project. I think that because it would be more entertaining to me if there was more variety with the projects that are presented. We should have volunteers go first because a few people love presenting and enjoy going first. So it is a win-win for those who like to present and those who hate presenting, even though they will need to eventually.

I think the presentations should be completed in an orderly way that makes the main idea stick out. Presentations should be easy to understand. Lastly, they should be visually entertaining so students will not be bored the whole time. I don't think the same kind of presentations should be on the same day, because it will get repetitive and boring.

I think the presentations should be divided by what projects were done so the people who did online presentations would go together and those who did writings would go together and so on. I also think we should be assigned numbers within the groups so we know when we will go and the presentations can go smoothly. The online presentation should go on the second day so all the emails can go through and they can already be loaded if they need to be.

I think the projects should be presented on the same day as the other people who did your same project.

For the presentations, I think we should have a sign up sheet. If we say that 1-10 are going on Monday, then 11-21 are going on Tuesday, then people will have more time to plan ahead on and get rid of pre-presentation jitters. I also think that we should have paper projects go closer to the first presentations so online projects have more time to load their presentations and we aren't left waiting for them to load. We should try and put as many presentations in one day as we can, so we can finish them sooner rather than later.

The presentation order should be based on which project you did. To narrow the order down further the projects should be in alphabetical order in the group that did the same project. Maximum presentations in one day should be based upon how qic that specific project is and based upon how many we get through the first day.
