Email- Week of March 30-April 3

Hey guys! I hope all is well with everyone.  Below are some reading assignments that serve as a review of what was taught during the year. Remember, these assignments are meant to help you keep your minds educationally sharp.

I will continue to review study island assignments, and if you have any questions or need feedback on any assignment sent, please email me. Please also continue to read a book of your choice. My next email will be sent after Spring Break. Hopefully by that point, more guidance will have been given on a Quarter 4 plan.

  • Main Idea - there are four assignments. If you had to choose one, my favorite is main-idea-and-text-structures-3 because it incorporates text structures to the assignment.
  • Study Island – log onto Study Island and complete- Main Idea
  • Extra enrichment- Connotations Quiz

**To simplify your search, all enrichment assignments can be found on my teacher page under the class calendar in the document container folder- Educational Materials.

**Study Island enrichment can be found on your class page on Study Island.

Upcoming-

  • Spring Break- Monday, April 6- Monday, April 13
  • End of Quarter 3- Friday, April 17 (originally Friday, March 27)

Finally, please see the message below. The Home Learning Resource page can help parents who are struggling to get their kids motivated.

STUDENT LEARNING CONTINUES - Although our school buildings and grounds are closed, learning is open, and staff and teachers are working daily. Please visit the PWCS Home Learning Resources webpage for ideas on how to keep your student engaged in school while at home. PWCS is exploring opportunities for equitable distance learning while ensuring compliance with all federal and state requirements.

As always, please behave, stay home to keep healthy, and keep to your daily school routines. I’m hoping the video program Zoom will be approved soon for use after Spring Break. Stay tuned!
