WELCOME TO the Math/Science Specialty Page!

The Marsteller Math/Science Specialty Program...
-is an interest-based program where we provide students with opportunities to explore in-depth mathematical and scientific concepts while developing their critical thinking skills.

-includes the Virginia SOLs and the Prince William County curriculum (same curriculum, but moves more quickly to allow activities that extend beyond and deeper into the topics.)

-groups high interest students together for science instruction.

-covers basic grade level objectives at a faster pace to allow time for enhanced instruction, extending beyond standard lessons

-expects students to meet academic and behavioral standards (no grades below "C" and satisfactory conduct and work habits grades and comments)

Successful submission of an online application no longer produces a confirmation email, as in past years.  Families who wish to confirm the status of an application should follow the link provided on the PWCS application page.  Alternately, you may log back in to the online application as you did when you originally submitted and view data fields.  If your data appears accurate and complete, simply close the window.  If, for some reason, there was a problem with the original submission, the data fields will be blank.  In this case, resubmit a new application and follow the same procedure to verify.
