Hello Marsteller Art Club Members!

I hope everyone is doing well and taking care of themselves. If anyone is looking for art activities to keep themselves busy with, the following sites may be a good place to start. These sites were recommended by the PWCS Office of Student Learning and direct links are posted on my class pages for all grades 6-8.

Artsology
Incredible Art
NGA kids Art Zone
Jarrett J. Krosoczka-Free Art lessons
Storyline Online

Also, with all of the spring flowers blooming, you could take pictures and zoom in to create Georgia O'Keeffe inspired art. Use paint, crayons, pencils, paper collage or whatever!

You could also set up a still life of objects (food, bottles, glasses, sports equipment, shoes, or anything that does not move!) to draw paint or collage.

Feel free to send me any photos of art projects that you have completed!

Stay Safe!!
Ms. Sykes

Art Club will meet two Wednesdays per month from 2:55-4:30. Students may ride the activity bus home at 5:00 or be promptly picked up at 4:30. Art Club members are expected to attend all meetings. PLEASE DO NOT sign up for Art Club if you plan on playing sports and can not attend monthly meetings. The number of Club members is limited; and as a result, students will be selected based upon a review of their application and then a random lottery drawing. Art Club members will work with a variety of media such as: pencil, pastel, paint, paper mache, printmaking and clay.

Art Club will be held in Art Room 1421 with Ms. Sykes.
