Welcome
The Marsteller Middle School (MMS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit organization that was created to support the educational needs of students at Marsteller Middle School. The PTO raises money and volunteers to fund school programs, provide enrichment opportunities, and advocate for students and teachers. The PTO is incorporated in the State of Virginia and is approved by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.
Purpose
The MMS PTO is committed to building strong relationships between the school, parents, and teachers. We believe that these relationships are essential to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all children. We offer a variety of programs and enrichment opportunities to help families connect and support each other.
Mission
The MMS PTO is dedicated to enriching the learning opportunities and environment for all students at Marsteller Middle School. We work to generate, gather, and distribute resources to supplement school programs and enhance the educational experience of all students. We strive to maintain open communication and cooperation between parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure that students achieve their fullest potential and receive the best education possible.
We facilitate the participation of parents, legal guardians, families, teachers, students, and the business community in the education process. We raise funds and procure donations as necessary to achieve our mission of enriching the learning opportunities and environment at Marsteller Middle School.
Membership, donations, and volunteering are how we achieve success. As a proud member of the MMS PTO, you hold great power to vote on important matters before the Executive Board, provide your valuable input, and even take up elective or appointed positions. During each meeting, are entitled to one vote on every issue submitted to the membership for voting.

Meeting Schedule
The PTO welcomes you to join our meetings to raise your concerns, contribute your ideas and talents to better our school. Our meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm via Zoom. All meeting dates and activities will be communicated regularly.
