Athletic Participation Requirements - updated August 19, 2025
To try-out and compete in sports, students must complete the Student Athlete Participation Requirements found on PWCS Student Activities and Athletics website. Please visit the PWCS Student Activities and Athletics website and on the left navigation column, click on the STUDENT ATHLETE REQUIREMENTS tab. You will find everything you need for the online athletics registration process, the student athlete education requirement (formerly known as concussion training), and the sports physical form (Pages 1,2, 3, and 4 uploaded). All of these requirements must be submitted electronically. Completed does not mean approved. Our Athletic Trainer or the Coordinator of Sports' Medicine have to approve these submissions. We will not be accepting paper forms for any of the above requirements.
Marsteller MS will be hosting an in-person Student Athletic Education requirement session on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at the school at 6:30 p.m. Please note, the doors will CLOSE at 6:30 p.m. promptly and no late arrivals will be admitted.
Fall sports tryouts will begin on Monday, August 24, 2026, immediately after school until 4:50 p.m. Please remember the athletic registration process must be complete with all documentation submitted prior to the first day of try-outs. Students need to bring all of their equipment to school each day. Also, we would like to remind all parents/guardians that only athletes and coaches are permitted at tryouts and practices. Students will be dismissed from tryouts/practice at 4:50 p.m. and can be picked up in the parking lot kiss-and-ride lane. Activity buses will be available for each day of sports tryouts for students who live within the MMS boundaries. There is no express bus service after school.
Please note the following beginning dates for athletic seasons tryouts for planning purposes:
- Fall: August 31
- Winter 1: November 4
- Winter 2: January 19
- Spring: March 22
