Marsteller School Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the Marsteller School Counseling Department is to address the needs of a diverse student population so that each student will develop the tools needed to be a lifelong learner and productive member of society. We will provide developmentally appropriate programs to promote students’ success in academic achievement, personal/social growth and career exploration. Our team works with parents, staff and students to promote each student’s individual potential with respect to their unique backgrounds and to serve as an advocate for the student.
Marsteller School Counseling Vision Statement
The students of Marsteller Middle School will grow as creative and high achieving learners. They will participate in a wide range of learning activities that are stimulating and developmentally appropriate to encourage them to explore new ideas and stretch mentally and physically to achieve high goals and become lifelong learners. They will be supported by a comprehensive school counseling program in their personal growth and developing a plan for the future. Together, the teachers, staff, parents and students will work cooperatively to create an environment that promotes each student’s individual potential with respect to their unique backgrounds and abilities to lead us through the 21st century.
