Team Announcements

Fall sports try-outs will start August 26 immediately after school. All interested students will need a current sports physical, proof of completed concussion training, and a blue sports emergency card. Try-outs will end around 4:50 each day. Parents/guardians are not allowed to attend/watch try-outs or practices. Activity buses will run each day of tryouts.

Thank you for your interest in track this year, I look forward to a competitive season.  Tryouts will begin August 26 right after school and will end at 4:45. The activity busses depart from school at 4:45 which is 15 minutes earlier than last year.  Parents that choose to pick up their child, need to be at school for pick up by 4:45, please do not be late.  Be aware that weather may play a role and tryouts may be postponed due to heat or rain.  If weather is a problem, announcements will be made at the end of the day and texts go out if you are signed up to receive text messages from Marsteller.

Tryouts will encompass athletes choosing events they would like to participate, they may choose one event or all of the events.  There are 6 running events ranging from 55 meters to the mile and field events like the shot-put, long jump and high jump.  We will be keeping the top 3 times or distances in each event.  Often there are athletes that finish in the top 3 in more than one event so we will go down the list for the next best times.  All 3 grade levels will be trying out and there is no set number for each grade level.  We will be keeping 25-30 girls.

On the first day of tryouts please bring proof of concussion training, blue emergency card, and a physical.  Please use the forms found on the Marsteller athletics webpage.
