About The Club
The Ruri-Teen Club at Marsteller Middle School (“Club”) is a civic and community service club that promotes goodwill and fellowship while encouraging volunteerism through community service. Ruri-Teens are a youth service branch of Ruritan National (www.ruritan.org), a nationwide organization that began in 1928 and is nearly 30,000 members strong, currently working to improve more than 1,100 local communities, and still growing!
The Ruri-Teen Club at Marsteller Middle School is sponsored by the Nokesville-Bristow Ruritan Club; however, we are self-directed club and becomes involved in those approved community causes/projects that are important to its members and serve the greater good, particularly of our local community.
This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on your community while giving community service hours each and every month.
There will be a service project included as part of each monthly meeting. Additionally, larger projects and events will be scheduled outside of regularly scheduled meetings. All Club members are encouraged to show active participation in these projects as often as possible and must complete fifteen or more (15+) hours/year of Club service activities to remain in good member standing.
